The Club has taken its seven year partnership with the foundation to a new level, acknowledging the young cancer patients who battle this insidious disease every day in a unique way.

In a first for the BBL, players names were removed from the back of their shirts and replaced by words that patients and survivors associate with their cancer journey. The players used this as inspiration in the match with the aim to then raise funds for the cause.

Each shirt has been signed by the player who wore it and auctioned off, with every dollar going towards the building of You Can Centres, with the Sydney You Can Centre set to open in late 2018.

Each jersey featuring words of motivation from their You Can Champion is:

65 Johan Botha Family, Laughter, Love. Jason Brady
77 Sean Abbott Family, Friends, Faith. Nicolas McKenzie
26 Carlos Brathwaite Faith, Hope, Love. Anna Attia
